The Impact of Diferent Gradient Alkaline Stresson Rice Yield and Quality in the Coastal Rice-growing Regions ofLiaoning Province

Abstract:Tofcientlyutizesalinalkalilandndmproviceyieldandqualitytisstudynaldteeetsofdiadi entsofalkalistressonriceandsreesforalkali-tolerantricegermplasmresources,Thericevariety(Yangeng337)andjaponica germplasmresouce(JS9)wereusedasexperimentalmaterials,witonvetionalsolservinastheontrol(CK,pH.91).Talkali stresstreatmentswereestablished:walkalitreatment(T1,pH8.56)andhighalkalitreatment(2,pH8.81),toinvestigateeeffectsof alkalistressoniceyield,illngppearanc,taste,andcookingquality.eresultsdmonsratedthattetwolkalitole antmaterialsebiteddistictresponsesunderdiferentalkali reatments.UnderTstressYangeng337showednosigiantyield reduction (18.8 % decrease rate),with improved appearance qualitybut declined tastequality.Under T2 stress,itstaste qualitydisplayed a "V" shaped recovery.In contrast,JS9 maintaineda stableyieldreductionrateunder varying alkali stresses,exhibiting strongeralkalitleraneinillngqualityomparedtYangeng337.However,isappeaance,taste,ndcookingqualitiseiat edsignificantlyaspincreased.Insummary,thissdyevealstersposeofceyieldandqualitytoalkalisres.kalioleat ricevarietiescuivatedinsalin-alkalisoilsshowpotentialforimprovinggrainqualityanddevelopingsuperiortastecharacteristics, butfurthebreedingofmorealkaliresistantvarietiesisstillrequired.Futureefortsshouldfocusondevelopinghigldingigh qualityalkalitolerantcevaresndtingorespodingulivantues.Bysientificallutilgmodeatelyli alkalilandresources,itwillbepossible toenhanceboththequalityandyieldofriceinthesechallnging environments.
