Analysis of Environmental Requirements for the Automotive Industry under the Global Automotive Declarable SubstanceList （GADSL）

Abstract： The Global Automotive Declarable Substance List （GADSL） is a regulatory tool aimed at governing the use of chemicalsubstances in the automotive industry and enhancing environmental performance. This list is continuously updated to align with thelatest environmental laws and technological advancements， encompassing the entire safety lifecycle of automotive products. Theimplementation of GADSL has had a significant impact on the automotive industry， driving the establishment of environmental regulationsand the selection of eco-friendly materials. Faced with the challenges posed by GADSL， the automotive industry must strengthencooperation， especially in the areas of raw material procurement and supply chain management. This article analyzes domestic andinternational implementation cases to explore how enterprises can achieve sustainable development while complying with GADSL andpredicts the role of new technologies in reducing environmental pollution. The industry needs to actively respond to regulatory changesand develop long-term development strategies.
