Liberalization of Trade in Intermediate Goods and Green Transformation of Enterprises： Challenges and Opportunities under Environmental Barriers in the New Situation

Abstract： In the process of accelerating global economic integration，the coordinated development of trade openness and environmental protection has become a theme of concern to the world. Based on the micro data of China's listed companies from 2O07 to 2O2O，and using G-TAP to forecast the data after 2O2O，this paper explores how the liberalization of trade in imported intermediate goods will affectthe green transformation of Chinese enterprises. The study reveals that the liberalization of intermediate goods trade promotes the greening process of enterprises through technological spillover effects，market competition mechanisms and green supply chain strategies.With the continuous improvement and development of the carbon emisson trading market，the enthusiasm of enterprises to reduce emisions and green transformation has increased significantly，but environmental trade barriers have also set up obstacles for enterprises'green transformation. This study provides a new perspective for interpreting the mechanism of the interaction between corporate green transition and trade liberalization，and provides an important reference for policymakers to effectively promote the transition of enterprises to green and low-carbon in the context of environmental trade barriers.
