A review of mechanisms and prevention and control technologies of jujube fruits cracking

Abstract: The paper introduces the occurrence, timing, and symptoms of jujube fruit cracking disease, with a focus on reviewing six factors and mechanisms leading to fruit cracking, including fruit structure and texture, mineral elements, hormones,physiological metabolism, environment, and genetics. It summarizes technical strategies for preventing fruit cracking, such as rain-shelter cultivation,calcium supplementation,hormonal regulation, protective film coatings,enhanced cultivation management, and breeding crack-resistant varieties.
