Abstract: The effects of three diferent heat treatment processes (solution treatment,aging treatment, solution + aging treatment)on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cold-drawn GH6oO alloy were investigated by OM, SEM, microhardnesstest, double shear test and microcomputercontrolled electronic universal testing machine. The results show that thecold-drawn GH6oO aloy has the bestcomprehensive properties after aging treatment. After being held at 718°C for16h (air cooling),the hardness,tensile strength and shear strength of the alloy reach 173HV, (204号 727.3MPa and 563MPa .This is due to the fact that after aging treatment,a large number of dispersed γ′ phase and carbides are precipitated from the matrix ofcold-drawn GH6oO alloy.These precipitated phases are nailed to the grain boundaries,which hinders the grain growth and thus improves the mechanical properties ofcold-drawn GH600 alloy.
