Research on the Spatio-temporal Pattern and Influencing Factors of the Coupling Coordination Development of New Urbanization and Green Development ： Taking Leshan as an Example

Abstract：Taking Leshanas the object，this study constructed acoupling coordination model and used the entropy weight-TOPSIS method.Combining Kernel density estimation，it explored the spatio-temporal pattern and the influencing factors of the coupling coordination development of new urbanizationand green development in the region from 2011 to 2020.The results show that：（1）Leshan has a good foundation for the coupling coordination development of new urbanization and green development，and the overall developing trend is up ward.Theareas in Leshan that achieve moderate coupling coordination and above increase from 18.2% to 100% ;the spatial evolution forms a point-to-plane characteristic，and the central urbanarea plays a radiating and drivingrole well.There is a tendencyof outward expansion in the core area of coupling coordination development.The development in some areas is relatively slow and the level of their development needs to be improved.（2）The differences between green development indices in various regions ofLeshan are small，but the diffrences between new urbanization indices are large.The overallevelof thenewurbanization is relativelylow，and itmostlybelongs to two typesofcouplingcoordination development：urban lagging type and urban catch-up type.The relatively lagging level of urbanization isahindrance to the coupling coordination development of new urbanization and green development. （3）Among the factors influencing the coupling coordination development of Leshan，economic growth is the endogenous driving force.Population agglomeration towards cities，urban space expansion and ecological environment protection are the important driving forces，while resource consumption is the main resistance.
