Abstract：It is a scientific understanding that the relationship between urban population density and the allocation of basic education resources is an important measure to optimise the distribution of urban basic education resources and promote the fair development of education.China's urban basic education resources data from 2010 to 2019 is selected in this thesis，so to explore the characteristics and temporal variation rules of urban basic education resources and urban population density scaling law under the perspective of scaling law，and scientifically examine the level of urban basic education resource allocation and regional development diffrences through the scale-correction index and the Dagum Gini Coefficient. The results are as follows：（1） China’s urban basic education resources as a whole conform to the characteristics of the“urban scaling law”.School density presents a sub-linear scaling relationship，which is the reflection of the density effect，and，teacher density presents a linear scaling relationship，which does not have the density effect.Meanwhile，changes in the scaling factor with time indicate that the density effect of high-density cities reduces，and the configuration relationship between the density of urban schools and teachers and the density of population improves.（2）Under the same population density，the perfomance of urban basic education resources in Northeast，Southwest，East and Central China is poor，while the perfomance of urban basic education resources in North，South and Northwest China is beter.（3）Hypervariable density and intergroup diferences are the main causes of spatial diferences in the performance of school density and teacher density，and the scaling factor is lower in the Northeast and Southwest regions than in North and South China.Urban basic education resources in these regions are relatively weak ，thus it's necessary to increase the investment in urban basic education resources in the Northeast and Southwest regions in the future.
