西南干旱河谷沟蚀研究进展与展望

Abstract：The arid valley in southwest China is a typical fragile area of ecological environment，where gully erosion is a significant soil erosion mode.The intense gully erosion has led to serious soil and water loss anda continual decline in soil fertility in these areas，which not only steadily increases the sediment content in the downstream of the Jinsha River but also poses a threat to the safety of the regional ecological environment and to the sustainable economic development.This study systematically reviewed the existing research results in arid valley regions，summarized the research progress on morphological characteristics， influencing factors，dynamic process，monitoring methods，as well as predictive estimation models of gullies，and highlighted the important directions for further research on gully erosion in this region.
