Study on Ecological Restoration of Guangdong Coastal Zone to Support the Development of a Strong Maritime Province

Abstract: The coastal zone is a critical area for integrating land and sea and is pivotal in the development of a strong maritime province. Restoring the coastal zone ecology and fostering a sustainable marine environment are vital supports for Guangdong's comprehensive push towards building a strong maritime province and achieving breakthroughs in creating a new maritime Guangdong. This article examines the primary achievements and challnges in ecological restoration within Guangdong's coastal zone in support of strong maritime province development, and offers targeted recommendations. Findings indicate that while Guangdong has realized initial successes in coastal ecological restoration，challenges persist，including inadequate coordination mechanisms，insuficient developmental resource guarantees，unsteady foundations for exploitation，and obstructed pathways to value realization. In light of the requirements for supporting the development of a strong maritime province，recommendations are made to optimize operational mechanisms，enhance resource assurances，facilitate value realization，and establish a robust safety baseline.

广东是海洋大省，因海而兴、因海而富[]，广东海岸带的范围界定为，从大陆海岸线向陆 10km 起至领海外部界线之间的带状区域，总面积约为8.96万 km2[2] ，海岸带主要分布的14个沿海地市集中了全省约 80% 的常住人口，创造了全省 82% 的经济总量和超 90% 的进出口总额，是广东经济基础最好、活力最强、承载产业和人口最集中的区域，在海洋强省建设中具有举足轻重的地位。（剩余11023字）
