Distribution of Iron Sheet Sand in Chengdao Area

Abstract： Iron plate sand is a special sedimentary geomorphology existing in the underwater delta of the Yellow River. It is formed by the widespread development of silt beds on the seabed，resulting in a distinct hard layer of sedimentand is commonly called "iron sheet sand" because of the hard crust of sediment on its surface.At present，the specific definition of iron sheet sand is not clear， this paper defines it accurately through the standard penetration number，and combines this definition to determine whether the collected drilling data belongs to iron sheet sand. According to the measured data in Chengdao area，the disturbed soil layers are divided.By comparison and analysis，it is considered that there is a close and strong correlation between them.
