[Abstract]The unilateral cleft lip repair surgery has undergone over acentury of development， marked by achievements and dificulties.Although the developmentof the methods for cleft liprepair has passed the periodofrapid advancement，thereremainsanurgentneedinclinicalpracticetofurtherimprovethesemethodsinordertoenhanceclinical outcomes.This article aims to improve cleft liprepair methodsbyanalyzing and elaborating on various aspects，includingtheatributesofcleft liprepair，theshiftinconceptsofleftliprepair，innovationsinsurgicaltechniques，techical improvements，and clasifications and repair methods forcorrecting secondary deformities.The analysis is based on the author's research and experience.
