Abstract: To address the issues of liner hanger in deep and ultra-deep wells such as insufficient pressure resistanceand stickingduring running,a pressre-balanced top-drive hydraulic liner hangerand its keytechnologies were studied.Through relocating hydraulic drive mechanism to the running tool,incorporating presure-balanced anti-presetting mechanism and designing critical components such as high-load-bearing hanging structure and split-type deployable ball seat,a g244.5 mm ×ρ177 . 8 mm pressure-balanced top-drive hydraulic liner hanger was developed.The bearing capacityof the liner hanger is27OO kN,theoverallinternal pressureresistance is 105 MPa,and the alowable circulating displacement and pump pressure during running liner are not restricted by the tool. The sealing capacity of the deployable ball seat is more than 25 MP a ,and the post-deployment drift diameterreaches 7O mm.Moreover,field adaptability evaluation was completedat Well Xinpeng X in the Sichuan Basin.The study results show that the pressure-balanced top-drive hydraulic liner hanger delivers exceptional performance reliable,notonly eliminates the weak point of pressure resistance inherent in conventionaliner hanger, but also meets the requirements of large displacement and high pump pressure circulating flushing during running liner,as well as hanging and cementing in deep and ultra-deep wels.The study results provide anew method for liner cementing in deep and ultra-deep complex oil and gas wells.
