地质地理条件约束下的长城选址研究

——以河北省板厂峪长城为例

Abstract:AsanoutstandingrepresentativeofancientChinesemilitarydefenseengineering,theconstructionandsiteselectionofthe GreatWall wereprofoundlyinfluencdbygeologicalandgeographicalconditions.ThispapertakestheBanchangyuGreatWallin QinhuangdaoCity,HebeiProvinceastheresearchobject.Throughfieldinvestigationsandliteratureanalysis,itsystematicaly exploreshowitsgeologicalandgeograpicalbackgroundshapedthewal'sistributionpatenandmilitarydefenseoffnsesystem. ThestudyrevealsthattheanchangyuGeatWallingeniouslyutilizedthegeologicalenvironmentdominatedbyMesozicJurassic volcanicrocks.Bystrategicallemploying lithologicalcharacteristics,structuralfeatures,andtopographicconditionsalong mountainridges,itonstrutedaompreensivedefensesstemcomprisingoll/solidwathtowers,platfobatlements,acon towers,stonewall,brickwalls,mountain-cliffwall,passes,andfortrees.Tisconfiguratioforsaunique"volcanicGreat Walllandscapethatexemplifiestheconstructionprincipleof"adaptingtoterainandutilizingnaturalbarierstoestablish fortifications".Theresearchfurtherelucidatesthinteractiverelationshipbetweennaturalenvironmentand Great Wallenginering, proposingnewconceptssuchas"Pingfeng mountains".Thesefindingsprovidescientificbasisfromgeologicaland geographical perspectivesforunderstandingthemlitaryfunctions,culturalvalues,andconservationof theGreat Wall,whileexpandingresearch paradigms forbroaderGreat Wall studies.
