Analysis of Axial Shaft End Bolt Loosening and Contact Stress under Dynamic Load KUAI Rongsheng', JIA Yusong²,LIU Shaohui²,WU Xingwen²,LI Zhiqiang² (1. Abstract : Aiming at the problem of loosening of axle box bolts during the operation of high-speed EMUs, this paper establishes the finite element model of class B axle box bolts through the finite element software HYPERMESH,simulates the stress processof bolt connection through the finite element analysis software ABAQUS,and analyzes the loosening mechanism of bolts.The effcts of diferent alternating load amplitudes and preloads on the equivalent stressdistribution,shear stress and slip state of the working thread surface were studied.The results show that under theaction ofaxial alternating load,the equivalent stress,shear stress and slip of the working thread decrease gradually with the increase of the number of turns. Under the condition of keping thebolt preload constant,increasing the amplitude of axial alternating load willead to the increase of equivalent stress and shear stressand the increase of slip,which makes the thread surface more prone to slip. Increasing the initial preload of the bolt willmake the thread surface lessprone toslip,but excessive preload wil lead to bolt connection failure.The results of this study are helpful to analyzeand predict the stability and reliability of bolted connections.
