Abstract Inorder to explore the pull-offfatigue performance of I-type huck rivets on a certain type of urban rail vehicle,the pull-offfatigue test is carried out on the I-type pull-off huck rivet steel and aluminum single nail specimens with a connection grade of 8.8R and a nominal diameter of 12mm to obtain the pull-off fatigue life curve of the specimen, and the fatigue strength is determined to be 12.75kN through the liftingmethod.Through the experimental analysis,the crack source appears on the lower surface of the aluminum plate,and the position of the crack is related to theload,with larger external load causing thecrack closer to the edgeofthehole.At the same time,the pulloffinite element model of this type of specimen is established Through the analysis of the contact surface state and stress state,the contact area between the aluminum plate and the steel plate changes during the load cycle,and the cracks appear in the contact range.The dominant stressthat causes the pul-off failure of the specimen is the tensile stress along the length ofthe aluminum plate,and the crack position can be preliminarily determined by the maximum position of the stress amplitude.The finite element model provides reference for analyzing the specimens of I-type pull-offhuck rivets.
