Abstract : Regarding the fatigue failure problem of high-speed train axle in complex service environment, this paper combines fracture mechanics with dynamics to study the stress spectrum damage of high-speed train axle. Firstly,according to the parameters of acertain type of motorvehicleandthe finite element model of the wheel set,the rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model ofvehicle track is established.The feasibilityand accuracy of solving axle bending stressbased on modal method are verified.Secondly,the fatigue life evaluation method and theory of nominal stress method are introduced.Based on the vehicle-track rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model,taking Wuguang spectrum as the track irregularity excitation,and according to the operation characteristics of high-speed train, the influence of vehicle running speed,vehicle load,curve superelevation, curve radius and wheel polygon on the stress spectrum of weak position of axle andon the axle fatigue damage is studied.Finally,taking Wuguang lineas the research object,the fatigue life ofthe axle with or without whel polygon wear is evaluated based onthe nominal stressmethod.The results show that the fatigue life of the axle has a large safety margin.
