Abstract ∵ In order to study the dynamic response of heavy-haul trains with larger traction tonnage,a 30,000-ton heavy-haul train-track coupled dynamics analysis model is established based on longitudinal dynamics theory, which takes into account locomotive traction/ braking characteristics,buffer performance and railway line profilein detail.Based on the model,the dynamic response of the 30,oo-ton heavy haul-train running on the long downhillramp,"V" ramp and "A" ramp is further analyzed,and the dynamic response of the 20,000-ton heavy haul train on the same line condition is compared.The results show that the model can be used to evaluate the dynamic performance of the30,0o-ton heavy-haul train under diffrent lines and operation conditions. Compared with the2O,Ooo-ton heavy-haul train,the largestcoupler forceand largest longitudinal acceleration of the 30,00o-ton heavy haul trainaresmallerunder the three typical lineconditions.Thisstudycan provide theoretical supportfortheofficialoperationof30,Ooo-tonheavy-haul train.
