Introduction Experiment of New Muskmelon Variety‘Jiamicui' in Lanling County

Abstract： Screening for muskmelon varieties suitable for protected cultivation in the southern Shandong region， an introduction trial of the muskmelon variety‘Jiamicui’was conducted in Lanling county，Shandong province， using‘Elizabeth’as the control. The growth period traits，fruit quality，yield performance，field performance， and disease resistance of‘Jiamicui’were recorded.The results showed thatcompared to the control，the yield of‘Jiamicui’was 16.8% higher，the maturity period delayed 5d.The soluble solids content of‘Jiamicui’was similar to that of thecontrol.Although its growth vigor and disease resistance were slightlyweaker than the control，its taste was superior.‘Jiamicui’was suitable for promotionand cultivation in the Lunan region，in order to promote the development of the local melon industry.
