Abstract:Colocasiaesculenta isdelicious and hashigh nutritionalvalue.The Beijing area is mostlysandyland with large temperature differences between day and night, and the C . esculenta grown has a good taste. C. esculenta cultivation is gradually receiving attention.This article took the demonstration planting of C . esculenta in Changping district, Beijing as an example to explore the main cultivation techniques and ornamental value of C .esculenta in Beijing. While increasing the income of producers, the ornamental, medicinal, and edible values of C .esculenta were deeply explored.Combined with local cultural and tourism characteristics,the integrated development of agriculture,culture,and tourism was achieved,which providedreference forthedevelopment ofruraltourism and the construction of beautiful countryside in Beijing and surrounding areas.
