Analysis and optimization of vibration and noise transfer function of server chassis

Abstract: To solve the problem of decreased hard disk read/write speed caused by chasis vibration and noise,Abaqus software is used to perform modal analysis,VTF(vibration transfer function)analysis,and NTF(noise transfer function) analysis on a certain server chasis. The dynamic characteristics of the chassis,the vibration acceleration frequency response curve of the hard disk,and the sound pressure level frequency response curve of the chasis cavity are obtained. Using analysis methods such as modal contribution and operating deflection shapes analysis,the reasons for the occurrence of peak values in the vibration and structural noise of the chassis structure can be identified. The optimized solution for the chassis transfer path is verified,which provides a reference for studying the problem of decreased hard disk read/write speed caused by chassis vibration and noise.
