Abstract:Prefabricated concrete bursting layer hasaveryimportantappication prospectinthefieldof protective engieering attributedtoits technicaladvantagesincludinghighconstructionefciencyandconstructionquality.However,comparedwith the monolithiccast-in-situconcrete bursting layer,the impact resistanceof the prefabricated concrete bursting layer may be significantlyreduced bcauseof the interfacesbetween theprefabricated blocksandthecast-in-situ part.Therefore,it is importantforengineers toreasonablydesign the prefabricated concrete bursting layer tomake itspenetrationresistance comparable tothemonolithicone.Tothis end,a kindof prefabricatedbursting layerconnectedbywet jointsandrebars was proposed in our previous study.Inorder to apply the prefabricated bursting layer in protective enginering,aseries of numerical models weredevelopedto further studyitspenetrationresistance.Firstlybasedonthe Kong-Fang modeland smoothed particle Galerkin (SPG)method,thenumerical models weredevelopedandvalidatedagainst theexperimentaldata of projectile penetrating monolithicand prefabricated targets.Then,the validated numerical models were furtherused to investigatethe influences ofprefabricatedblock size,wetjoint widthandanchorage length,spacingand diameterofrebars on the penetration resistance of prefabricated targets.Numericalresults indicate that increasing the width of wet joints,reducing thespacing between rebars,and extending the anchorage length ofrebars can significantly enhance the penetrationresistance of prefabricatedtargets.Afterclarifyingtheinfluencesofthese parameters,anengineeringdesignmethodforaprefabricated concrete bursting layer wasproposed.Finally,based onthismethod,two prefabricated high performanceconcrete targets subjectedtotwo typical types of warhead penetration were designed.Numerical resultsshow thatthe penetrationresistances of twoprefabricated targetswerecomparabletomonolithictargets.Theproposedengineringdesign methodcanprovidea reference for engineering applications of prefabricated concrete bursting layers connected bythe wetjoints and rebars.
