Preparation and electromagnetic wave absorption properties of reduced graphene oxide modified with Fe3O4

Abstract: To optimize the impedance matching of graphene and improve its absorption performance of electromagnetic wave, Fe3O4 -modified reduced graphene oxide ( Fe3O4/rGO ) was prepared by using graphene oxide (GO) and iron nitrate as precursors and impregnating annealing method to disperse Fe3+ between GO layers through electrostatic interaction. When graphene oxide was reduced, Fe3+ was converted into Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The morphology and crystal structure of Fe3O4/rGO were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction analyzer,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and the electromagnetic parameters of Fe3O4/rGO were tested by vector network analyzer. The results showed that the impedance matching rate of Fe3O4/rGO- 12N sample is closer to 1,the minimum reflection loss of -58. 30 dB ( ⟨13.85GHz , 2.68mm ),and an effective absorption bandwidth of 7.05GHz (10. 95-18. OO GHz). The excellent absorption performance of (20 Fe3O4/rGO is attributed to its multi-polarization effect and good impedance matching characteristics. The results of this article provide an effective method for optimizing graphene impedance matching.
