Abstract ：The purpose of this study is touse the BWS survey methodto investigate the acceptance of acupuncture and moxibustion bythe general publicand what factors afect their choice of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy，and to investigatetheexisting problems of acupunctureand moxibustion therapy.A totalof 219 respondentsparticipated in this survey，the number ofvalid questionnairesis201，the numberof invalid questionnairesis18.The study identifiedthe most importantand leastimportantfactorsinfluencingacupuncturepreferences，the mostimportantbeing"whether acupuncture is effective"andthe least important being"personaltraditional beliefs”，BWscoresfrom high tolow（influencefrom high to low）were：Whethertheeffcacyof acupuncture is significant，whether the overallhealthcan beadjusted，the levelof development of acupuncture technology，whether personalized treatment can beperformed，thedegree of sideeffects， the extentof acupuncture treatment，other alternative therapies，theidenificationandtrustofacupunctureculture，fearof acupuncture，economic factors，personal traditional ideas.In the future，the developmentof acupunctureand moxibustion should pay moreatention to the curative effect，strengthen the publityof the scientificnature of acupuncture and moxibustion，and contribute topromoting the development ofacupunctureand moxibustion，improving the policies related to acupuncture and moxibustion and strengthening the public's trust in acupuncture and moxibustion.
