Abstract:Carbon dioxideenergy storage(CCES),which hasevolved fromcompressed air energy storage,ers advantages suchaszero carbon emisions,highenergy storagedensity,safety reliabity.To furtherutilize the advantages easyliquefactionthehighenergydensity carbon dioxide,atranscriticalcarbon dioxideenergystorage system(TC-CCES)with gas-iquid two-phase changes was proposed.The low-pressure storage tank in the system contains a gas-liquid mixturethatremains in transcriticalstatethroughout theoperation.Energy exergyanalyseswereconducted on TC-CCES, simulations were performed to obtain the dynamic properties thesystem during itsoperation.In addition,the impact theinitialtemperature the high-pressuregas storage tank onthe systemwasanalyzed.The study revealedthat loweringtheinitialtemperature thehigh-pressuretankenhanced thesystem eficiency.Whenthesystemran in a stable state,it achieved an efficiency 56.93% an energy storage density is :
