Mechanical Properties of Asphalt-treated Macadam Based on Vertical Vibration Compaction

【Abstract】:Tofurtherreveal the influenceof verticalvibrationcompactiononthepropertiesofasphalt-treated base ATB30,specimens were prepared using both vertical vibration compaction method and Marshallheavy compaction method.Density tests were corduced to analyze and examine the relationship between the two compaction methods and their influence on asphalt content,mechanical properties and road performance.The results show that vertical vibration compaction can achieve compaction effects comparable to those specified in current standards withinashort duration.Futhermore,with increased compaction duration,the high-temperature stability and moisture stabilityof ATB-3O are enhanced,and the optimal asphalt-aggregate ratio is reduced.
