【Abstract】:Tocalculationthe main cable shapeof self-anchored suspension bridges,this study proposesa segmented catenary theory basedonthe traditional calculation method,thatsatisfies thelaws ofconservation of mass without solving nonlinear equations.Based on this theory,a program SASB_1 was compiled to calculate the main cable shape and stress-free length under the designed dead load condition of self-anchored suspension bridges.Thereliabilityand accuracy of the algorithm were verified through classic calculation analytical case and modeltests conducted on the Taohuayu YellowRiverBridge inHenan Province.
