Deformation Monitoring and Calculation Analysis of Deep Foundation Pit under Different Pile -support Combination Systems

【Abstract】: Taking adeep foundation pit project in Suzhou as a case study,this paper compares the supporting systems of single-row piles with two levels of concrete supports and double row piles withone level of concrete support during theexcavationof thesame foundation pitthrough on-sitedeformationmonitoring.Theresultsindicate thatthe axial forceinthefirst-level supports forboththesingle-rowpileand double-row pilesystems gradually increases with the increase of excavation depth offoundation pit,and theaxial forceper linear meter in the supports ofthe double-row pilesystem is greater than thatinthe single-rowpilesystem.The deep horizontal displacement and vertical displacement of both supporting structures increasewith increasing excavation depth of the foundation pit,and influenced bythe time-dependent efects of excavation,uneven deformations occur in the supporting structures onboth sides ofthe foundation pit.Theoreticalcalculation and analysis demonstrate that the measured deformation of the single-row pile support structure agrees well with the calculated values,while a relativelysmalldiscrepancy exists for the double-row piles,highlighting the importanceof carefully selecting the compression modulus of the soil between the piles.Both supporting structures effectively control the deformation of the deep foundation pit.
