Research on Erosion and Optimization of Elbows in Vacuum Waste Storage and Transportation Pipelines

【Abstract】:Inresponse to the problem of erosion and wear causedby gas-solid two-phase flow in domestic waste pneumatic conveying pipelines,based on turbulence and erosion theory,and considering the turning radius,turning angle,and garbage particle size of the bend,COMSOL software was used to study the garbage movement characteristics and erosion behavior inside the bend under pneumatic conveying conditions.The results showed that garbage particles first gather together in the bend of the pipeline,and after colision,they move along thereflection direction and diffuse inanX shape towards both sides.The erosion area was mainly locatedonthe outersideof the inner wall ofthe bend,and thearea with the highest erosionrate was distributed in a "herringbone" shape;When designing pipeline structures,it is advisable to choose bends with smallturning radii and large turning angles,and limit the entry of garbage to control the particle size of garbage.
