Cable Clamp Design and Stress Analysis of Super-span Suspension Bridge

(China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance& Design InstituteCo.Ltd.,Wuhan 43Oo50,China 【Abstract】:Inorder to understand the structural stresscharacteristics ofthecable clampofsuper-span bridge,a super span suspension bridge was taken as an example,a certain characteristic cable clamp was selected as the research object,and a spatial finite element model was established.The stress state and stress distribution law of each component of the cable clamp structure were analyzed and studied,and compared with the current suspension bridge standard formula.The results showed that under the action of unfavorable load,the stress of each component of thecable clamp structure of the bridge met the requirements of the specification,and the stress transfer between thecomponents was smooth.The circumferential tensile stressof theleftand right half cable clampsalong the wallthickness was in good agreement with the calculation results of the current suspensionbridge design specification formula.For the left-right type pin-connected cable clamp,thesling force had little efect on the contact pressure between the cable clamp and the main cable,and would not cause a large degree of cable clamp disengagement and screw unloading.
