Analysis of QU Fan's Clinical Medication Rules for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Based on Data Mining Technology

Abstract：Objective：To analyze the clinical medication rules of Profesor QUFan in treating polycystic ovary syndrome（PCOS）based on data mining technology.Methods：Traditional Chinese medicine medical records of PCOS patients treatedby Professor QU Fanat the Women's Hospital，Schol of Medicineof Zhejiang University from January 2O21 to April 2O24 were colected.Prescriptions meting inclusion criteria were recorded，organized，and uploaded to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computing System （V3.O）for frequency statistics analysis， associationrulesanalysis，and clusteranalysis.Results：A total of 712valid prescriptions involving92 Chinese medicinal herbswere analyzed.Thetop fivemost frequentlyused herbswere Pseudostelariae Radix，Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle，Polygonati Rhizoma，Rubi Fructus，and Epimedii Folium.Herbs were predominantly warmor neutral inthefour properties，and sweet，biter，orpungent inthefiveflavors.Clusteranalysis identified fourfrequently-used associated prescriptions.Conclusion：ProfessorQUFan's treatment forPCOS focuses on tonifying the kidneyand strengthening the spleen as the fundamental principle，primarilyusing herbs with sweet in flavors and warm in properties，supplemented appropriately with herbsof biter in flavorsand cold in properties for balance.In terms of the therapeutic effects，the herbs usually involves tonifying deficiencyand followedby promoting blood circulation to resolve stasis，while herbs for clearing heat，draining dampness，regulatingqi，and harmonizing the stomach were selected depending on individual conditions，thus for activating blood and removing stasis，clearing heat and eliminating dampness， and tranquilizing mind and improving sleep.
