Abstract：Based on the theory of mutual generation between metal and water，this paper discusses the pathological characteristics of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease（COPD）in the stable phase （lung-kidney deficiencyand the binding of phlegm and blood stasis），and further analyzes the therapeutic methods ofsupplementing the lungand kidney，resolving phlegm and eliminating blood stasis，andthe compatibilitycharacteristicsof Bufei Yishen Huoxue Prescription proposed by Profesor ZHANG Zhen，a national master of Chinese medicine.This prescriptioncan improve the symptoms and signs of COPD in the stable phase by enhancing the lung function of diffusing and governing descent，the kidney function of qi reception，and the smoothness of the vessels.
