Introduction of YE Liqun's Experience in Treating Infertility in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Based on Theory of Collaterals and Sweat Pores

Abstract：This paper summarizes and introduces Professor YE Liqun's clinical experience in treating infertility caused bypolycysticovary syndromebasedonthe theoryof colateralsand sweat pores.The theoryofcollateralsand sweat pores holds thatthere are many colaterals and sweat pores around the uterus and five organs，which coordinate the ascending，descending，existing and entering ofqi，blood，and body fluids.ProfessorYELiqun believes that the core pathogenesisof inferilitycaused bypolycystic ovarysyndromelies intheinvasion of internaland external pathogenic qi into the body，leadingto dysfunctionof the fiveorgans，disorderof the balanceofqi，blood，yinand yang duringthe menstrual cycle，obstructionof the flowof essence，qi，blood，and body fluids，andthe production of phlegm，blood stasis，and turbidity.This affectsthe opening and closing of sweat pores of the five organs，the smooth circulationof collaterals，theobstructionof thoroughfare andconceptionchannels，andthe stasisand blockage of cellular blood vessels，resulting in thelossof nourishmentof theuterus，insuficient blood flow，and stagnant developmentand dischargeoffolicles.Therefore，inspiredbythe medicinal ideasofYE Tianshi'sacrid herbsand vine based medicines，the pathogenesis is carefullydiferentiated，combined promoting and tonifying methods，and unique efective formulasare created.The four formulas of Duonang Xingjing Decoction，Duonang Yangbao Decoction， Duonang Culuan Decoction，and Duonang Cujing Decoction corresponding to the four menstrual cycles are applied to restore organ function，eliminate phlegm，stasis，and turbid pathogen，promote the circulation of sweat pores， harmonize meridians，nourish the ovary，and promote timely menorrhea，only thencan yin and yang harmonized，and pregnancy be achieved.
