Abstract：Xue Yu isarepresentative figure in the development history of modernschool library in Shanxi Province.This paper mainly reviews XueYu's work performance in the Shanxi University Library.Itis believed that he notonly does his due diligence inthe fieldofliterature resource constructionand reader service，but also devotes his spare time to the colation and research of Shanxi local literature，which has made important contributions to the library science and bibliography cause of Shanxi and even the whole country.
