" Elite Convergence in the Library " ： the Contributions of Feng Guorui and Nie Youshi to the Tianshui Library and the Cultural and Educational Undertakings in Gansu Province

Abstract：The developmentof the library cause in Gansu Province benefited from the strong support and dedication of local liberalarts talents.Thispaper takesFeng GuoruiandNieYoushi，famous scholars in Tianshui，GansuProvince，as examples tosortout their achievements for the former Tianshui Libraryand thecultural and educational undertakings in Gansu Province.Feng and Nie were not only dedicated to the construction and developmentof library undertakings，but alsoorganizedand preserved local literatures，promoting thedevelopmentof culturaland educational undertakings in Gansu Province.Theircontributions reflect their humanistic sentiments of serving their hometown and being willing to dedicate themselves with their erudition and abilities.
