[Abstract]Objective：Todescribetheepidemiological characteristicsandtheWestern BlotbandpaternsofHV/AIDS in the newlydiagnosedHIV-1antibody-positiveelderlypatients inNantongareafrom2O2Oto2O23，soastoprovideabasis for formulating targetedinterventions.Methods：Asurveywasconductedon449newHIV/AIDScasesagedover6Oyearsreported in Nantong cityfrom January2O20toDecember2O23.Theepidemiologicalcharacteristicsof thesepatientsweredescribed and the Western Blot band patterns were analyzed. Results： Among the 449 confirmed HIV/AIDS patients， 74.2% were male， with heterosexual transmission accounting for 58.6% .The number of individuals seeking active testing and counseling has increased annually，yet passive testing remains predominant（58.1 % ）.There were statistically significant differences in the geographicaldistributionofpositivepatients，with Chongchuan Districtinthemainurbanarea having thehighestproportionat 28.3 % （127/449）.The Western Blotband patterns results revealed that the majority numbersofbands ranged from 7to 10， with highdetectionratesobservedfor gp160，gp120，andgp41inenvantibodies，whilep55inpolantibodies，andp39and pl7ingagantibodies exhibitedthelowestdetectionrates.Conclusion：The newlydiagnosed HIV-1antibody-positivepatients over6O yearsold in Nantong areaare mainlymale patients，showing heterosexualtransmision and pasive testing.Targeted HIVantibodyscreeningandanalysisof HIVinfected individuals in thisagegroup havecertainreferencevalueforregional epidemic monitoring and epidemic control.
