Abstract：Porcine epidemic diarrhea（PED），caused by the porcine epidemic diarrhea virus （PEDV），is a highlycontagiousandlethal infectious disease inpigs.Thevirus primarilytargets theintestinal epithelium，leading to acute diarrhea anddehydration.Since theemergenceof highly pathogenic PEDV variants in China inlate 2O1，PEDV hasspread globally，causing significant economic losseson the global swine industry.This review systematically summarizes the current epidemiological trends，genetic variations and hazards of PEDV.Focusing on the three fundamental components of infection source，transmission route，and susceptible animal of infectious diseases，this paper highlights the challenges in current PED preventionand control，and proposes acomprehensive PED prevention and control strategy emphasizing enhanced biosecurity measures and scientifically immunization programs.

猪流行性腹泻（Porcineepidemicdiarrhea，PED）是由猪流行性腹泻病毒（Porcineepidemicdiarrheavirus，PEDV）引起的急性致死性猪肠道传染病，所有年龄段的猪均易感，尤其新生仔猪感染PEDV会发生严重腹泻、脱水，死亡率极高，严重阻碍养猪业发展[1]。（剩余13181字）
