林纾《闽中新乐府》与诗歌的现代转型

Lin Shu's Minzhong Xinyuefu and modern transformation of poetry

Abstract:Lin Shu's Minzhong Xinyuefu wasborn in the late Qing Dynastyat the historical node where old and new poetry met，and was called by Hu Shi as“popular vernacular poetry”. Lin Shu created Minzhong Xinyuefu to educate the world about social customs as far as he could see，in order to achieve the goal of changing customs.In addition,Lin Shu’s extensive use of vernacular dialect of Fuzhouand the flexible poetic form of Xinyuefu show the similar poetic characteristics of Minzhong Xinyuefu and vernacular poetry. As a vernacular Xinyuefu composed by the old literati，Minzhong Xinyuefu accidentally became a“ferry boat”in the process of convergence between old and new poetry.In fact，it played an important role in inheriting the old style and enlightening the new poetry in the process of modernization transformation of Chinese traditional poetry.

胡适评价林纾《闽中新乐府》：“林先生的‘新乐府’不但可以表示他的文学观念的变迁，并且可以使我们知道五六年前的反动领袖在三十年前也曾做过社会改革的事业，我们晚一辈的少年只认得守旧的林琴南，而不知道当日的维新党的林琴南；只听得林琴南反对白话文学，而不知道林琴南壮年时曾做过通俗的白话诗。（剩余10506字）
