Numerical Analysis of the Performance of D-Shaped Special-Shaped Sealing RingsforNew Energy Vehicles

Abstract:To investigate the influence of the structural parametersofaD-shaped special-shaped sealing ringon itssealing performanceandstability,anaxisymmetric finiteelement modeloftheD-shapedsealing ring isestablished, with the quick-connectorof the batery coling system innew energy vehicles asthe application background.Basedon theMooney-Rivlin hyperelasticconstitutivemodel,thecontact stressonthesealing pathsandtheresistance to extrusionunder fluid pressure are systematically analyzed,with the sealing ring width w asthe variable. The results indicate that as w decreases from 2.O mm to1.2 mm,the stability of the sealing ring improves significantly,with the extrusionresistance pressureincreasing from O.17 MPa to1.11 MPa.The sealing performance also enhances simultaneously,as the initial sealingpressure rises from 1.25 MPato 3.45MPa ,and the contact stresson sealing path 1 remais consistently higher than that on path 2.The research conclusion demonstrates that appropriately reducing thewidthof thesealingring helpsimprove itsoverallsealing performance,providingatheoreticalbasis forthe engineering selection and structural optimization of D-shaped special-shaped sealing rings.
