AnalysisofApplicationon ModifiedFiberglassReinforced Polyphenylene Ether Composite Materials for the Battery PackofCommercialVehicle

Abstract:Based on the material designanalysisof modified POLYPHENYLENE ETher (PPE) glass fiberreinforcedcomposites,aFiniteElement Model(FEM)of thecommercial vehiclebatteryboxis established.Modaland randomvibration simulationanalysesareconducted,and thevibrationreliabilityverificationof thebattery box is completed.The results show that when the density ofthe modified PPE glass fiber-reinforced composite is 1.251g/cm3 itscantilever beam impact strength reaches 10.4MPa ;thenotched impact strength of the simply supported beam(at 23 )is 9.8kJ/m2 ;itscombustionproperties reach the V-O level,and the water absorption rate isonly O.12.In terms of productperformance,the first-ordermodal frequencyof the bateryassemblyusing themodifiedPPEcomposite reaches 172.38Hz ;themaximum stressunder random vibrationisonly 6.7MPa .Throughverificationbyperformance tests on the vibration test bench of the batery box,the product is confirmed to be safeandreliable.
