Analysis and Improvement of GlossLoss on Door Pillar Decorative Film

Abstract：To address the issue of gloss losson the door pillar decorative film of an automaker's overseas export vehicle modelAinthe MiddleEastregion，the failure mechanism isinvestigatedthrough failurebackgroundanalysis， microscopicmorphologycharacterization，chemicalcompositionanalysis，andsimulation tests，leading toproposed improvement measures.Theresults indicate that the glossloss iscaused bymechanical impact from silicon-oxygen bond（Si-O）particles，with damage concentrated onthe polyurethane coating surface，which is closelyrelated to the localsandyanddustyenvironment.Simulation testsof finesand impactdemonstrate that the"High-glossfilm with protective film" composite structure reduces the gloss loss rate to 2.71% ，withabefore-and-aftercolordifference（ ΔL ） to 0.11，significantly outperforming other solutions.
