Analysis of the outpatient use and irrational use of second ⋅ generation antipsychotic drugsin acertain hospital in Xuchang city

【Abstract】 Objective To explore the use of second-generation psychiatric drugs in outpatient and the phenomenonofirrational druguseinJian'an hospital of Xuchang city.MethodsTwo hundred ordinary prescriptions were randomly selected from the psychiatric outpatient department ofa certain hospital from May to November 2O24，using internationally recognized drugs，and toanalyze the typesof second-generation psychiatric drugs used，combinationtherapy，medication time，and the proportionofirrational medication.ResultsAmong 200 randomly sampled cases， 52.5%（105/200） used one drug， 33.5%（67/200） used two drugs， 10.0%（20/200） used three drugs，3.0%（6/200） used four drugs，and 1.0%（2/200） used five drugs.In the case of combination therapy，the proportion of using first generation antipsychotics is 17.5%（35/200） ，the proportion of using second - generation antipsychotics is 88.0%（176/200） ，the proportion of using antidepressants is 21.5%（43/200），and the proportion of using emotional stabilizers is 4.5%（9/200） .Prescription medication time of O～7 days accounts for 7.0%（14/200） ，and 8～14 days accounts for 16.5%（33/200） .15～21d accounted for 28.5%（57/200） ，21～30d accounted for 48.0%（96/ 200），and those exceeding 7 d accounted for 79.2% ，indicating a phenomenon of prolonged drug use. The frequency of medication，from highest to lowest，is risperidone，paliperidone，clozapine，ziprasidone，perospirone，and aripiprazole.The proportion of combined use of antipsychotic drugs is 62.0%（124/200） ，the proportion of excessive use of sedative and hypnotic drugs is 21.5%（33/2oO），and the proportion of excessive prescription dosage is 16.5% （204号 （43/200）.ConclusionThere has been no abuse of second-generation antipsychotic drugs，however，the drug's usage cycle is relatively long，thephenomenon of concomitantuse is prominent，anda few drugs have excessive usage.These issues urgently require targeted standardization and management measures.
