Abstract： Jincha 18'is anew tea cultivar withboth fruit and leaf， which was bred by Zhejiang Jinhua Jiukeng population species hrough the systematic breeding program of "seed collection - single plant selection - cutting propagation - character identification".This cultivar has thecharacteristics ofstrong tendernessoffresh leaves，highqualityofteaand high yield of tea fruit.It belongs toshrub type，medium and smalleaves，andthe tenderbuds ofspringshoots are light green; Under suitable cultivation conditions，the yield of dried seeds can reach 14.4t/hm2 .Under the traditional tea garden cultivation mode， the water extract content of one bud and two leaves in spring was 51.0% ，caffeine 3.1% ，tea polyphenols （204号 17.1% ，amino acids 4.1% . It is suitable for making green tea and baking green tea.The shape of green tea is thin， tight， slightlycurlyand green; Thesoupis light greenandbright; The aromaisclear，slightlyfloral，freshand mellowtaste; The leaves are tender，uniform and green.Ithasstrongcoldresistance and drought resistance，andissuitable forplanting in theecologicalregion of the south of the Yangtze River in Zhejiang and tea areas with similar climatic conditions.
