Abstract：The high-quality development of sports events is an important part of building asports power.In the digitaltechnologyera，exploring whyand how digital technologycanpromote thehigh-qualitydevelopmentof sports events has significant theoretical value and practical significance.Adopting methods such as literature review and logical analysisand taking the perspective of digital technology empowermentas the entry point，thisstudy systematicallyanalyzes the theoretical exploration，problem examinationand realization pathsof the high-quality development of sports events in China.The research suggests that digital technologycan provide technical support forthe inteligent transformationand upgradingof sports eventvenuesand facilities，builddata platforms for the collction of multi-information systems of sports events，create intelligent hubs forthe dynamic matching of supply and demand of sports event services，andoferkey guarantees forthe preventionandcontrol ofoperational risks of sports events. However，in the process of empowering the high quality development of sports events with digital technology，there exist problems such as aweak technical foundation，superimposed data silos，imbalanced coupling of supply and demand，and lags in risk prevention andcontrol.Based on this，the realization paths of digital technologyempowering the high-qualitydevelopmentof sports eventsare proposed：accelerating the iterative updateof digital technologytofacilitatetheintellgentupgradeofeventvenues，buildingaclosedloopfortheflowof eventdata toenhance the efficient transmission of event information，promoting the digital coupling of supply and demand forevents toachieve arational alocationof event resources，and implementing dynamic support throughout the entire event process to manage the diverse risks of events in a coordinated manner.
