Abstract:Theladleand productanalysis methods ofcorrespondentindustrial standardsaboutchemicalcompositions of heavy forgings for 2OoMW power station equipment and below are compared,and their development history is reviewed in detail.A rapid pretreatment for multi-element contents determination of carbon and middle-low alloy steels by ICP-AES is further investigated in experiments. ICP-AES is also proposed as practical product analysis, and is expanded.SD-AES is proposedasa prefered choiceof the industrial standards forladleand product analysis. The methods are applied to routine production and inspection of heavy forgings,and are valuable in the revision of the industrial standards.
