Design and application of a welding positioner for the boom of ultra-large excavators

Abstract:Aimedatthe key task of manufacturing super-large excavators for domestic OEMs,welding positioners playa crucialrole in the fabrication of structuralcomponents for such equipment.Taking the welding positioner for the boom of a super-large excavator as the research subject,this study conducts an in-depth analysis of the boom's structural characteristics, process requirements, and key technical parameters, based on which innovative design concepts for the welding positioner are derived.Through precise structural design,al-position optimal posture welding for both the front and rear ends of the super-large excavator boom has been successfully achieved. Practice hasdemonstratedthat this welding positioner not onlydelivers significant welding results with high depositionrates, but also features a compact footprint,effectively enhancing production efficiency.It provides valuable reference for the design of process equipment for super-large excavators and holds important significance for promoting the independent development of high-end engineering machinery.
