Abstract:InordertounderstandthecharacteristicsofeavymetalpolutioninthesdimentoftheXimeiRiver,atypicalrainsource riverintheCengdChongqingegion,theontentsof8indsofeavyetalsinOsdimentointswereanalyzed,teiristritio characteristicswerestudied,andthepolltiondegreewasevaluatedbyusingthreemethods:theNemerocomprehensivepolutionidex method,thepotentialcologicaliskindexmetodandtheimprovedgoacculationindexmetodTesultssowtatincasthe highestcontent,cadmiumandmercuryhavethelowestcontent,utthetwoexceedtheandardthemostseriously.Thecontentsofght heavymetalsvaryindiferentriversections.Cadmiumandarsenichavenocorelationwitheachotherorwiththeotermetals,while therearepositiecorrelatiosofvaringegreesamongteotersixmetalsAlltreeevaluatiomethodshveoaiedthespaitrbution characteristics of“upstream > midstream > downstream”,and the main polution-causing factors are cadmium and mercury.
