Abstract:Toachieve eficient degradationof sodium diatrizoateunder anaerobic conditions,acopper(I)-sodium sulfite advancedreduction system was constructed.The eficacyand mechanism of the copper(I)-sodium sulfite system in degrading sodium diatrizoate were elucidated through single-factor experimental analysis,radical scavenging assay,and probeexperiments,aswellas productdegradation analysis.The resultsshow that the optimal reaction conditions for he copper(II)-sodiumsulfite system todegrade sodium diatrizoate under anaerobicconditionsarepHof7,sodiumdiatrizoate concentration of 2.5μmol/L ,copper( II) concentration of O.15 mmol/L,and sodium sulfite concentration of 1. O mmol/L, the degradation rate of sodium diatrizoate reaches 92.4% after 6O min of reaction. The primary reactive species in the anaerobiccopper(II)-sodium sulfite system fordegrading sodium diatrizoate is copper(I),and the degradation process primarilyinvolvesdeiodinationreactions.Itisalsofoundthatbicarbonateions significantlyinhibithedegradationofsodium diatrizoate by the system.
