Abstract： The helical gear produced by cold precision plastic forming not only has high production efciency and material utilization ratebut also can obviously improve the workpiece strength and surface quality. In this paper，the latest research and manufacturing trends of cold precision plastic forming of helical gears were analyzed by summarizing the research of various new forming processes and methods developed by domestic and foreign scholars in recent years，and the forming methods and working principle of die for different types of helical gears were studied in depth. Finally，according to the characteristics of helical gear demoulding difficult to analyze the reasons，and summed up several common demoulding methods and working principles.
