【Abstract】ObjectiveToinvestigatechangesinleftatrialfunctionbeforeandafterbariatricsurgeryinobesepatientsthrough retrospectiveaalysis,provdingrefereceforclinicalreamentandfolowup.MethodsFortyinebesepatitsounderetbaatric surgeryatShanxiBethuneHospitalbetweenDecember2O21andJune2023wereretrospectivelyenroledasthebesegroup.Fiftyhalthy individualsmatchedforageandgender,withnormalbodymassindex(BMI)andbloodpressre,wereselectedasthecontrolgroup. Conventinalechocardiographicparameters weremeasuredinboththecontrolgroupandtheobesegroupatbaselineand6monthsafter bariatricsurgerycudigttioofitralalvelastolicpakfowelocitytoveageofalyastoliceloiitaeal andseptalmitralannulus(averageE/e’)andleftatrialvolumeindex(LAVI).Two-dimensionalspeckletrackingchocardiography (2D-STE)wasusedtomeasureltralservoirran(LASr),leftatrialonduitstrain(LScd)ndlftatrialoractiletain (LASct).Clnicalparameters,nvetioalocardiogaphcparameters,ndleftatrialainameterserepardongte groupatbaseli(resurgery),ontsostoerativelyndeotrolop.eoelaneenBdagsinlftal strainparameterswasalsoanalyzed.ResultsAtbaseline,LASrandteabsolutevaluesofLAScdintheobesegroupwereloweraninthe controlgroup,hilethebsolutevaluesofLSctwashgher.6monthsafterbariatrcsurgeryLASndtheabsolutevaluesofLAcdwere significantlyhigherthanatbaselineutstillowerthaninthecontrolgroup,hileteabsolutevaluesofLASctaslowerthanatbaseline. △BMI was positively correlated with △LASr( r=0 . 496, P<0. 001 )and positively correlated with △LAScd( r=0.377,P=0.008) , but showed no significant correlationwith△LASct( r=-0.095,P=0.514). Themultiple linear regression analysisrevealed that△BMI was anindependent influencing factor for both △LASr and △LAScd( B -value =0 .682, B -value =0 .270,respectively;both P<0, 05 )
ConclusionLeftalfuctionisipaidisepatitsriatricurgryiprovlefttralfuctindtegefouical BMI reduction is significantly correlated with the degree of improvement in left atrial function.
