Preventive eficacy rhGM-CSF combined with Kangfuxin liquid on radiation dermatitis breastcancer

Abstract：Objective To investigate preventive eficacy recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colonystimulating factor（rhGM-CSF）combined with Kangfuxin liquidonradiationdermatitis inbreastcancer patients underwent radiorapy.MethodsA total 90 breast cancerpatients were randomized into control group （45cases，rhGM-CSF alone）and observation group （45 cases，rhGM-CSF + Kangfuxin liquid）. Both groups received radiorapy.The incidenceradiationdermatitis，timefrstoccurrence，healingtimeandseverityradiationdermatitis （graded by RTOG criteria）werecomparedbetweentwogroups.Skingrowth factorsepidermal growth factor （EGF），asic fibroblast growth factor （bFGF）， transming growth factor- β （TGF -β ）] were measured via enzyme linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）bee radiorapyand 2 weeksafter radiorapy.The qualitylife patients was assessed using EORTC QLQ-C30 V3.Oquestionnaire.ResultsThe incidenceradiation dermatitis was significantly lower in observation group （35.56%，16/45） than that in control group （68.89 % ，31/45， P<0.05 ），and first occurrence time dermatitis waslater， healing time was shorter，and severity grade dermatitiswas lower （ P<0.05 ）.Twoweeks after radiorapy，levelsEGF，bFGF，TGF- β and scores QLQ-C3O increased in both groups，and those observation group were significantly higher than control group （ P<0.05 ）.ConclusionCombining rhGM-CSF with Kangfuxin liquidcan effectivelypreventradiationdermatitis inbreastcancer patients byreducing incidence andseverity， delaying onset time，accelerating healing，and improving quality life.
